The GPT (Guarantee Protection Trust) was formed in 1983, a completely independent company, by the PCA members to provide fair, transparent insured guarantees protecting property owners from the inadequate treatment guarantees then (and still) offer in the market place.

GPT organised in partnership with GPI insurance cover in specialist areas of building and construction. With the Property Care Association (PCA), which incorporates the British Wood Preserving and Damp-proofing Association (BWPDA), it is committed to improving the standard of workmanship available, through membership, training, examinations and the creation of good practice guidelines. The PCA provides a mediation service and disciplines members involved in unresolved complaints.

What is covered?

The "GPI Guarantee" provides insurance cover which relates to the property rather than the owner. So, if you decide to sell your property, the guarantee is automatically transferred free of charge to the new owners, adding value to the purchase price. More Information ...
